Many Poles associate being a victim with any form of political expression so marks of respect for black people of this kind are not promoted by the authorities or the Church.

You'd feel very much at home among that kind of Pole. On the other hand, there are many educated, well-travelled cool people who very much appreciate the intention. They'd find you entirely unpalatable.

How is "taking the knee" going on in poLOLand, Pickled?

In the interests of clarity, I regard the booing of this gesture, which is nothing more than a mark of respect for black people, a matter of personal choice. There is nothing inherently offensive about the gesture, and it is certainly not a declaration of belief in Marxist ideology (how utterly preposterous!). What the choice to boo says about the person indulging in it is all about their lack of self-respect and moral poverty, and that is absolutely a perfect reason to carry on demonstrating one's own the capacity to respect and bear oneself with the minimum of dignity.

"And how many are not joining in because they find the booing of a mark of respect for black people who have been violently discriminated by racists something totally beneath any kind of dignity?"

I buy that. Its the disrespect for me.
I think had they not booed it they would have stopped it now. Lots of teams were looking to stop it. But the booing? nah., fuck off. Your taking the piss.

Actually, I see the booing as an offensive for reasons I have clearly stated and they are nothing to do with “someone else’s behalf”.

You on the other hand are throwing wobbly rather than argue a sensible case quite clearly on behalf of the booers and their defendants on here. Maybe you identify with them and it’s not on somebody else’s behalf after all? I’ll entertain that notion.

A meltdown for pointing out you're one of those cunts who get offended on others behalf?

Shut up Pickled, you fucking idiot.

Nothing worse than pricks like you, getting offended on other people's behalf.

It’s the questions you choose to ask that mark you out as what you are Pointy.

I just said kneeling is achieving nothing positive.

Re: World Cup Qualifiers - Hungary v England

Wrong.

The booing is because the idiots are taking a knee, which is a sign of oppression and a political gesture which has no place in sport, not to mention the gesture does absolutely fuck all, on par with those idiots who change their facebook pictures to a country flag or create a hastag #prayfor.

Anyone with a brain can see this.

Nothing positive

Whatever. Point is it's achieving positive now. And fans have not been doing it for a year because they were not even fucking there a year ago.

Re: World Cup Qualifiers - Hungary v England
How many are not booing because, although they disapprove of the knee-taking, they don't want to appear as racists, even though they aren't?

I have no idea. Nor does Andy with his made-up bollocks.

Yeah Pointy - where's the proof that some are not booing to demonstrate their approval of taking the knee?

chedylan 2 6:14 Fri Sep 3
Re: World Cup Qualifiers - Hungary v England
Hammer and pickle

The booing is a reaction to the kneeling. Not the other way round.

And it hasn't been going in a year + because the stadiums were empty.

Nice try tho
